LBC Winter Warmer

Indiana’s original winter beer festival turned 25 this weekend and it’s no surprise that it sold out and did not disappoint!

For a quarter century, the fine folks at Lafayette Brewing Company have been hosting this event for craft beer lovers, with all proceeds from the ticket sales supporting non-profit, Laura’s Kids.

This year, fifteen Indiana craft breweries (including Greater Lafayette locals: Lafayette Brewing Company, Brokerage Brewing Company, Teays River, People's Brewing Company, Kopacetic Beer Factory, Crasian Brewing and the Tippecanoe Homebrewers’ Circle) showed off their craft by pouring samples to those who began lining up well before the 5:00 PM start time.

The event is also a favorite among the brewers themselves.

“It’s one of the festivals that I’ve wanted to attend for years,” said Brokerage Brewing Company lead brewer Corey Patterson. This was his second year attending. “I like the well-curated list of breweries, and the staff are amazing and attentive. The BBQ is a huge plus as well! It’s awesome to see a fest that’s small and intimate.”

Admission included a commemorative sample glass, a meal from the BBQ bar, raffles, games, and free rides home to area residents.

Thanks again to Greg Emig and Lafayette Brewing Company for another job well done! Looking forward to next year. Cheers!
